Net Finds a New Hobby

Net, you are one sick and twisted human being.

Can I help that I was bored?

No. So stick this fish in your ear and shut up.

You can't blame the medium, only the user.

Just like I can't blame Blogger for your horrible literary atrocities.

Like war crimes against the English language.

Mister Clean ain't got nothin' on me, pal!

Sure... just don't be surprised when you're lynched by English teachers.

I'll have you know that my Lit Professors always loved my writing!

Of course, they never got their hands on my blog here...

My favorite kind of writing is the kind that doesn't go directly from point A to point B, but instead talks a walk for a while to think things through, maybe breaks into a quick sprint, gets winded and then doubles back over a wonderful tangent, going somewhere definite but not in a particular hurry to get there, like a man who just the discovered the person writing this has run out of metaphors.

In other completely real news, a man was text-messaging and driving.

He hit a car.

That was parked.

A parked police car.

With lights flashing.

Some people, I tell you. You'd think it'd be common sense, right?

Ten bucks says the states that have made it illegal to talk on a cell phone while driving (like mine) will soon pass a law saying it's illegal to text on a cell phone while driving as well.

...Just because some people seem to need such laws.

It's an interesting issue, to be sure. Should we protect and shelter the stupid, or let Darwinian law take effect?

Speaking of which:
